A memorial service for Hector Gutierrez will be held Saturday, Aug 22, from 2-3 pm at Palm Northwest Mortuary in Las Vegas. The funeral home will live stream the ceremony at facebook.com/PalmNorthwest/…. Gutierrez, a NDOC Digital Telecom Specialist, passed away Aug 2 from COVID-19.

Each month, NDOC leadership visits Nevada offenders housed at Saguaro Correctional Center in Eloy, Arizona to check on their well-being & answer Qs they may have. This month's visit by B. Williams, Deputy Director of Programs, who let the offenders know that NV cares about them.

NDOC's Medical Director has determined that, in the interest of public, staff & offender safety, all NDOC staff be tested for COVID-19 every 2 weeks. This mandatory testing initiative started August 3 & occurs at the facility where the staff member works.
