I won't be buying any new cars starting in 2027; especially any equipped with interior cameras. My father used to say: the more technology you add to a car, the more that can go wrong. Today, our civil liberties are under serious threat from vehicles that listen to and record you without your knowledge or consent. There's no telling how this data could eventually be used against us. Much of it will almost certainly end up in massive data centers worldwide, where 'AI integration' is largely just a convenient cover for building the ultimate big-brother surveillance systems.

@TonyClimate Yes, I think it took about 300 years to mobilize and fight back. It's a lot of why we had the 'holy wars' in the first place. To save the world from forced religious conversion, ironically by forced religious de-conversion.

It's so hard to read carbonbrief articles because they are so chalk full of BS. 🤣 After record 315+ GW added in 2025 (much rushed before subsidy cuts), installations dissapeared, March -56%, April -79%. Why? Subsidy cuts, overcapacity, price wars, bankruptcies, and grid reality is hitting hard. The biggest is that 'green tech' doesn't integrate well into the power grid. In fact, wind and solar may actually be hurting power stability.

@TonyClimate Yes, they had to apply seasonal cherry-picking using April in the Northern Hemisphere (stronger winds); while ignoring the intermittency and capacity factors like 20-30% capacity - meaning that it needs 3-gx the nameplate capacity land, material, grid upgrades (aka. great scam).

Taxpayers and investors are throwing money in the toilet faster than they can flush and this wave is more vapor than nuclear. It isn't innovation; it's a crowded feeding frenzy on "green tech" subsidies and AI electricity hype. Physics and economics remain stubbornly connected to reality! Massive cost escalations (NuScale's tripling to over $9B before collapse), endless delays, and unproven scalability, and ZERO real world GRID approval, show they are better at raising capital than producing affordable (aka. shisters), reliable clean power.
