@KleverKid12 @supermudkipz87 There's also the aspect of people quickly growing out of the target audience. They're very blatantly aimed at teens, but the absurdly drawn out production times for just a 9 episode season means these people are bound to grow out of them near or shortly after they end.

Everything having to be some edgy, tryhard subversion that wraps around into being predictable (what if video games BUT WINNING BAD?!?!1!1) with the same exact tone as everything else.

@Shamaboy11 Spyro is def different (y'know collectathon), but I don't think they wanted to do "Spyro 1 but better." This feels like trying to reinvent the series altogether, make it more grandiose and modern as you freely fly across humongous fantastical landscapes, which I really appreciate

Really liked Spyro 1 but not 2 or 3, however the gameplay snippet implies to me that flight-based exploration is a focus which is REALLY exciting. Visuals and esp music are also great from the trailer. Def keeping my eye on this.

@TheJoshMan07 And obviously high level players have a shitton to latch onto, but I'd say intermediate players like myself (ranking highly in worldwides but not competitive) have it the worst, since all these barriers to getting good become a lot more apparent here.

@TheJoshMan07 Ehh, personally I do think it's a bit of an issue since that's Mario Kart's whole mission statement from my perspective. Tbf it still mostly is, there is def fun to be had, Mario Kart is Mario Kart. If you're a low level player then you still have the polish and item game.

@TheJoshMan07 That's about all I got, there is value to intermissions and reason to like them, but there are also LOTS of reasons to not like them and esp Nintendo forcing them into online worldwides. And me personally, I'm in the camp of just not finding them fun.

@TheJoshMan07 Also while some intermissions do have lots of opportunities for these freeform movement, many of them really are just straight lines with nothing to do in them. The regions near Bowser's Castle come to mind, there really is nothing to do there.
