$NVTS gapped 20% in pre-market and the options tape is screaming, but the move people are chasing is not the one that matters. $13M in call premium hit yesterday. 37,790 calls against 14,012 puts. 3 to 1 call dominance, ask-side heavy. here is what that flow is actually positioned around. NVIDIA named Navitas in the MGX 800V partner ceremony this morning. their 800V-to-6V GaN power board deletes the entire 48V intermediate converter stage inside AI server racks. 97.5% target efficiency, denser racks, less wasted real estate. that is the catalyst the premium is paying for. now the squeeze mechanics underneath it. 26% of the float is sold short. days-to-cover collapsed under 1 on this volume. that is a coiled spring. when a real catalyst lands on a float that crowded, the shorts become the fuel, not the brake. the gamma map confirms where this wants to go. the $30 wall just got cleared on the gap. the next major open interest shelf sits at $35. dealers short those calls have to buy stock as price climbs into it. that strike is a magnet, not a coincidence. the part nobody chasing this is saying out loud: at $7B market cap on $40M trailing revenue, this is priced at 170x sales. the stock needs ~100% revenue growth a year for five years to justify where it already trades. consensus says 59%. trailing growth is negative. so read it for what it is. this is a real-catalyst squeeze on a crowded short float, not smart money quietly accumulating value. the move can run hard and fast precisely because it is reflexive. IV is already pricing a 24% swing by expiration, which means the easy premium is gone and structure matters more than direction here. the flow doesn’t lie. but it doesn’t tell you the whole story either. that’s our job.
