The first full year of GTA 5 release, the stock was up +54% vs. SPX +20%. Stock also 10x'ed in the subsequent 6 years... not a bad IRR!
$TTWO looking more and more compelling by the day, best hard catalyst idea out there imho. Zelnick sandbagged the guidance on the last call, I remember he did the same pre-GTA5 release -- He guided for $2.00 of EPS, came in at $4.26 in actual EPS
GTA VI release date still confirmed for Nov. 19th, one of the best hard catalysts in the stock market imho...
$TTWO looks like a no-brainer here on the morning weakness concerning near-term spending & a long-term conservative guide. Zelnick has set up the under promise over deliver framework for the next 12-18 months-- very similar playbook to the GTA 5 release.

Some of these SMID cap names have been absolutely destroyed, essentially pricing in a recession. $CDW for instance has been hurt by the temporary memory price shocks. Likely a long-term AI winner, given more complexity w/ IT & a greater need for outsourced experts. 9X forward EPS
Over the past decade this business has typically grown ~ 250 bps faster than overall IT budgets. It's forward P/E has averaged ~19x. Certainly some short-term headwinds, but an excellent business that should not be trading at a HSDs P/E.
